The Workshop currently serves 92 students in grades 9-12. Roughly two thirds of our students are ninth graders; nearly all come from neighborhood schools in West Philadelphia. Our student population is predominately African American, with all but a few students eligible for free or reduced price lunches. Nearly one quarter of our students have special needs.
Our faculty and staff are diverse in background, experience, and expertise. Some of us have years or experience in public education, while others are new to teaching. What we share is a commitment to building a great school, being open minded in our approach, thinking deeply about our experience, and evolving and growing as a professional community.
