WorkReady Summer 2022!

What is WorkReady Summer?

WorkReady Summer is a 6-week summer job program for 12-24-year-olds in Philadelphia. WorkReady Summer offers 100+ different experiences through 80+ partner organizations throughout the city. This summer, the program will offer safe in-person experiences for young people to gain valuable experience and develop critical skills. Each year, at least twice as many young people apply for the roughly 8,000 opportunities available, so applicants are encouraged to apply early and check their email often. What does it mean to participate in WorkReady Summer at The Workshop School?

Every summer, The Workshop School offers current Workshop students the opportunity to participate in a WorkReady Summer experience that is an extension and expansion of work students participate in during the academic year.  In previous years, students participated in mural projects with Women of Workshop, completed automotive projects, and engaged in internship opportunities across the city.  Staff at Workshop are working hard to confirm our program offerings for summer 2022.  Stay tuned for more information!

How do I apply for WorkReady Summer programs at The Workshop School?

The first step is to complete an online intake application at www.workready.org.  Workshop School staff will lead WorkReady enrollment sessions during advisory and after school to walk students through the application process.  Enrollment sessions will be scheduled soon, keep an eye on your Workshop School email for more information!
